The Manila Police District’s Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU) has the given the following routes for the annual Black Nazarene procession in Quiapo, Manila on Sunday, January 9, 2011.
** From Quirino Granstand, will turn right at Katigbak Drive thru P. Burgos
** Turn left at Taft Avenue thru McArthur Bridge, turn right at Palanga thru Quezon Bridge
** Turn left at Quezon Blvd., right at Arlegui, right at Fraternal, right at Vergara, left at Duque de Alba, and left at Castillejos
** Turn left at Farnecio, right at Arlequi, left at Nepomuceno, left at Aguila, right Carcer, right at Hidalgo thru Plaza del Carmen
** Turn left at Bilibid Viejo thru Puyat, left at Guzman, right at Hidalgo, left at Barbosa, right at Globo de Oro thru Quezon Brige
** Turn right at Palanca, right at Villalobos thru Plaza Miranda and to Quiapo Church
Closed from 5:00am onwards to all types of vehicles are:
The entire southbound of Quezon Blvd. – from Andalucia, Fugoso to Plaza Miranda
The stretch of Lerma – from P. Campa to Quezon Blvd.
Traffic re-routing scheme:
** All vehicles coming from Quezon City passing by España should turn right at P. Campa, left at Andalucia, right at Fugoso, left at T. Mapua to their destination
** All public transport vehicles and other light vehicles coming from España headed towards the South Pier Zone should turn left at Nicanor Reyes, turn right at Recto, straight to JAS, left at Reina Regente to take Jones Bridge, turn right at Magallanes Drive to their point of destination
** All vehicles coming from northern Manila intending to pass by Bonifacio Drive should turn right at Roberto S. Oca St., left at Delgado, left at Bonifacio Drive (for Port Area offices) or make a right to A. Soriano to Magallanes Drive, turn right at P. Burgos, and straight to Lagusniland to Taft Avenue
** All vehicles coming from the southern part of Manila passing through P. Burgos should take T.M. Kalaw, turn left at Taft Ave., right at A. Villegas, right at Quezon Bridge, to their point of destination
** All vehicles from the southern part of Manila intending to pass through Roxas Blvd. from P. Ocampo to P. Burgos should turn right at T.M. Kalaw, turn left to Taft Avenue to their point of destination
** All PUJs plying the Monumento-Gasak-Recto route passing through Andalucia thru Recto should turn right at Fugoso, right at Oroquieta to their destination
** All vehicles coming from Legarda should turn right at Recto or left at Mendiola
** All vehicles using Taft Avenue northbound should turn right at A. Villegas (Arroceros), right at Quezon Bridge to their destination
** All heavy vehicles/cargo trucks coming from the south shall take Pres. Osmena, right at Pres. Quirino to Nagtahan via A.H. Lacson to Capulong and vise-versa
** All motorists headed to the north or south of Manila should pass through Lacson to Nagtahan or Road 10 to Roxas Blvd.
** All buses coming from eastern Manila particularly G-Liner and RRCG buses should turn right at N.A. Lopez, left at San Marcelino, left at Ayala Blvd., to their destination
** All buses from Taft Avenue going to Fairview should turn right at UN Avenue, pass by Otis, turn left at Nagtahan, go straight to LAcson, right at Espana to their destination
** All buses coming from southern Manila passing through Taft Avenue are prohibited from entering the area from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will only be allowed until Pres. Quirino and Remedios St.
